The 2024 HOA Charity Golf Day was better than before, taking place over two days instead of just one.  It was an exciting two days of events, plenty of opportunities to raise money for our chosen charities and plenty of opportunities for this year’s sponsors.

This year's Club Champs took place the 4th and 5th May, boasting a field of 140, including Men's A Division, B Division, C Division and Seniors, and Women's A and B Divisions. The A Division race proved exciting, with 16-year old Jean du Toit winning the Men's section and 12-year-old Amy Stanton the Women's section. 

The first night run of 2024, sponsored by Re/Max Masters was due to take place 13 February - a red hot event. Unfortunately, the weather did not play along and the event was postponed to 5 March. A great night was had by all! Thank you to those of you who joined us. 

The third EC Business Breakfast, sponsored by Sotheby's International, was held on 14 February at Eagle 1, Clubhouse.  Guest Speaker, Yael Geffen, shared the importance of creating a culture of love in the workspace – a fitting topic for the annually celebrated day of love.

The Eagle Canyon Business Breakfast Club, was the brainchild of businesswoman, business coach and resident, Charlotte du Plessis, who broached the idea with the Country Club Director of Golf, Dave Christie and so the club came to fruition. This bi-monthly event aims at creating networking opportunities for like-minded businesspeople and entrepreneurs in a relaxed breakfast setting overlooking our Golf Course.

Our annual Carols in the Park, hosted at the soccer park, was back after a hiatus (and a few covid-influenced years at Eagle 1) and was better than before. Resident favourites GAP performed on the day and donated their fee to the worthy charity - It's Not About Me. 

The second Eagle Canyon Night Run for 2023, sponsored by Re/Max Masters, was held on Tuesday 14 November. This Tuesday evening night run is proving to be a popular event and we look forward to running four events in 2024 – two in the first quarter leading up to winter and two in the last quarter after winter: These dates will be communicated, so watch our communications channels for more information.

Our Annual resident Trick or Treat, sponsored by Propvest, took place on the 26th October. Thank you to all involved who made the evening the success it was. 

The Eagle Canyon Night Run, held on the 19th of September was a roaring success, as residents and friends gathered together to take part in a 5km or 10km run/walk under the starry night sky. The event saw participants of all ages and abilities come together to enjoy a fun-filled evening of fitness and community spirit. Participants were treated to stunning views of the estate, as well as the surrounding natural beauty. 

Our annual HOA Charity Golf Day was held on 7 October. This much anticipated and loved event brings together residents, golf members and sponsors all in aid of raising much-needed donations for three chosen charities. 

We had a fantastic Club Champs over the 6th and 7th of May,  This year we had a fun Mexican theme, and this created a great ambiance - from the tequila to the photobooth, all golf members had great fun. A big thank you to our main sponsors Propvest Real Estate and Schindlers, and to Titleist for getting involved.  

We hosted our annual Corporate Members Challenge last Friday and what a great day it was! This event was in support of St Laurence's Children's Haven who offer abused, neglected, and abandoned children love and care in a secure and loving environment. 

Eagle Canyon was excited to be able to once again host our annual Resident Trick or Treat event after a break due to Covid-19 regulations. Children and parents took to the streets and it was stunning to see how many adults dressed up for the occasion. Golf carts and homes were lavishly (and scarily) decorated and much fun was had by all. This event was proudly sponsored by Propvest Real Estate.

The Eagle Canyon Home Owners Association annual charity golf day was held on 8 October 2022. Not only were funds raised for a good cause, but much fun and laughter was had by all.  Click here to read more and see all the photos of the day. 

Concern has been raised regarding the rise of teenage drug usage. 

Our Security Department in conjunction with Service Provider Bidvest and Narcotics Anonymous Joburg a drug awareness talk centering around what parents should look out for and how to discuss this sensitive topic with your children. 

The first Friday Draw Night of 2021 was held at Coppa on Friday 9 April, sponsored by Danie Barnard of RE/MAX 2000. Save the date for the next event of 2021 - Friday 7 May. Join in the Community spirit. Lots of lucky prizes to be won. The main cash prize is open to Residents and Golf Members, but you need to be in attendance. 

The 16th annual Club Championships was hosted the 13 and 14 March. With 132 players, this believed to have been the biggest field we have had. The Course was in great condition, thanks to the hard work of all teams involved leading up to the event. 

The first blood drive of 2021 was held March 3 at the Clubhouse. sponsored by  Martje Hellberg of Eagle Canyon Property Sales & Rentals Save the date: Wednesday 28 April, Time 14h00 to 19h00 at the clubhouse. 

Our Residents have been encouraged to decorate their homes in the spirit of the season. Here are some of the amazing sidewalk displays for all to enjoy. Congratulations to our seven winners. It's that time of the year! The Clubhouse and Jessica's hosted the annual Christmas Market with plenty of goodies and seasonal products.

Father Christmas and Chas Bear visited Eagle Canyon Clubhouse on Saturday 28 November. The event, sponsored by Roz Everitt and Zelda Reyneke of Chas Everitt, saw children of the Estate spending time with Father Christmas and the dancing Chas Bear. Each child was also gifted with a special Christmas mask (Covid-19 compliant) . Residents were encouraged to donate toiletries to the chosen charity, "It's Not About Me", and we thank all of those involved. The joy on the children's faces as they chatted to Father Christmas was a pleasure to see.

The annual Pink Drive was held in the carpark of the Eagle Canyon Country Club on Monday 9 November. This event, sponsored by Linda Nunes of Pam Golding Properties not only assists in Residents and Staff having easy access to life-preserving tests and measures, but also serves as awareness. Thank you to all those who donated bras and contributed to  Cancer survivors in need. Your support is appreciated

Draw Night was held at Coppa on Friday 6 November opening with a R20 000 pot. Live music, great giveaways, and happy hour between 18h00 and 19h00 added to the fun. This was the first Draw Night hosted by new sponsor Danie Barnard of RE/MAX 2000, after the exiting sponsor James Carr of RE/MAX Masters handed over.

The morning, Members Field, saw 140 of our Golf Members (and invited guests) take to the course, with the open Field reserved for our Residents to enjoy a game of golf.
