It has been brought to our attention that drug usage amongst teenagers is on the rise in our
area.
 
This has been raised by various schools as well as Honeydew Police Station and our local
Community Policing Forum. Some schools are even going as far as running awareness
campaigns, having random drug tests and bringing in sniffer dogs.
 
Please be mindful of drug usage and what your children may be exposed to. This was the message our HOA head of Security and Risk shared at the recent drug awareness talk held at our Clubhouse.
 
Our Security Department in conjunction with Service Provider Bidvest and Narcotics Anonymous Joburg shared scary statistics regarding youngsters and drugs, as well as helpful information on what to do if you suspect your teen is doing drugs and who can help. 

The highlight of the morning was listening to recovering drug addicts, Dianthy, Peter, Sylvester, Ryan and Roxy, who were all former addicts, sharing their addiction stories and the road to recovery.
