Carols in the Park

- sponsored by Chas Everitt

Our annual Carols in the Park at the soccer park was back after a hiatus (and a few covid-influenced years at Eagle 1) and better than before. Resident favourites, GAP, performed on the day and generously donated their fee to the worthy charity – It’s not about me.

There was a visit from Father Christmas, face painting and general great excitement at this popular event.

Entry was a pamper pack of toiletries and as usual, the Eagle Canyon residents stepped up and generously donated>

Message from Roz Everitt

Thank you Eagle Canyon Residents at our Christmas Carols in the Park for your wonderful donations of toiletries. They have blessed and helped so many people in need. Thank you also to Shereen Hunter and It’s not about me for distributing.

Message from Shereen Hunter – It’s Not About Me

Dear Roz and the Eagle Canyon Residents,

The toiletries that were donated feel like the fish and the bread… the more we give away, the more seems to appear on my dining room table. So far, we have delivered to four children’s homes and we are preparing little pamper packs today <15 December> for delivery tomorrow to the elderly.

We have also shared with some families needing support.

And there is still more.

Chatted with Colleen Francisco McAusland today. Will see in the new year if we can deliver to some Rape Care facilities that need toiletries.

And maybe take some in to prison on Sunday – going to do a visit there.

Thank you so much – your donations are going far and wide!

Love Shereen.
